A WhatsApp chatbot for jewellery stores that talks gold like you do.

Your customers don’t ask “what is your product range?” They ask “aaj no bhaav su che?” at 11pm, want the exact design from the reel, and expect delivery in Rajkot by the weekend. NudgeDesk answers all of it, in Gujlish, and takes the UPI advance before the moment passes.

The specifics

Built for the questions a jeweller actually gets.

A generic chatbot chokes on the jewellery DM: the rate changes daily, the prices depend on weight and making charges, half the message is in Gujarati, and the customer wants to see the piece before they trust you. Here’s how NudgeDesk handles each one, honestly, without guessing.

Today’s gold rate, the way you set it

You update the 22K and 24K rate each morning; it quotes that number and works out the piece price from weight, making charges, and GST. It will not invent a rate. If the day’s rate isn’t set, it tells the customer you’ll confirm and hands the chat to you. In a business where a wrong number costs real money, “it won’t guess” is the feature.

The exact design, sent in seconds

When someone asks about the necklace from your reel or a ring from the catalogue, it sends the real photo, weight, karat, and price attached, up to a full multi-image set in one message. Customers browse and shortlist in chat instead of asking you to “send photos” ten times.

Advance payment over UPI: the piece gets held

To reserve a design or confirm a custom order, it sends a native in-chat UPI request. The payment is verified by the gateway, never by a screenshot, which jewellers know can be faked. The moment it clears, the piece is reserved and you get a ping. This is India-only; elsewhere it sends a payment link instead.

Delivery, festival timelines, and Gujlish

It confirms Rajkot and Gujarat delivery windows, gives an honest “ready in 5 days” even during the Navratri and Diwali rush, and replies in whatever the customer types, kem cho, thoda Hinglish, or plain English. It reads Gujarati voice notes too, so an elderly customer’s audio still gets answered.

A real exchange

Rate to reserved, without you touching the phone.

One message asking the day’s rate. Four replies later the ring is booked with a ₹5,000 UPI advance and reserved in your name, while you were with a customer at the counter. Watch it play out.

  • Answered in Gujlish, at the customer’s pace
  • Festival timeline handled honestly, no over-promising
  • UPI advance confirmed by the gateway, not a screenshot

Why jewellers keep it on

Less “I’ll check and revert.” More booked.

Never miss the after-hours enquiry

The rate question at 11pm gets an answer at 11pm. The buyer doesn’t cool off overnight and walk into the shop next door.

Quote consistently, without a price war in the DMs

It uses the day’s rate and your making charges: the same number every time, GST included. No junior staff guessing, no undercutting yourself to close.

Show the piece, then hold it

Design photo, weight, and karat go out in seconds; a UPI advance reserves it. You wake up to a booked order, not a maybe.

Survive the festival rush without hiring

During Navratri, Diwali, and wedding season the volume triples. It carries the repetitive questions so your counter staff serve the people standing in front of them.

Honest about the limits: it won’t auto-confirm a payment from a screenshot, and on Instagram it can’t re-message a lead after 24 hours, so it moves hot buyers to WhatsApp, where follow-up is allowed.

Jeweller’s questions

Straight answers, before you ask.

Can it answer today’s gold rate?

Yes. It quotes the rate you set each morning (22K / 24K, per gram) and calculates the piece price with making charges and GST. It never invents a rate: if you haven’t updated the day’s rate, it says so and hands the chat to you rather than guessing.

Will it send design and catalogue photos on WhatsApp?

Yes. It knows your catalogue and can send the exact design a customer asks about, up to a full multi-image set in one message, along with weight, karat, and price, so buyers see the piece before they visit.

Can customers pay an advance through it?

In India, yes. It sends a native in-chat UPI request (GPay / PhonePe) to book or hold a piece, and the payment is confirmed by the gateway, not by a screenshot. That authoritative ‘Paid’ signal is what reserves the item and pings you.

Does it actually reply in Gujarati and Gujlish?

It mirrors however the customer types, pure Gujlish (“kem cho, bhaav su che”), Hinglish, or English, and normalises loose spellings like kem cho / kem6o. This code-switching is the thing generic chatbots get wrong; it’s what NudgeDesk is built to get right.

Can it follow up during Navratri and wedding season?

On WhatsApp, yes. With an opted-in customer it can re-engage after the 24-hour window using an approved template (a ‘your piece is ready’ or restock ping). On Instagram, re-engagement after 24 hours isn’t permitted, so it moves hot leads to WhatsApp where follow-up is allowed.
